About Dr Jody
Meet Your Therapist
Dr Jody Eiser is a Doctor of Psychology, trauma-informed therapist, mediator, author, and founder of Integrative Psychological Wellness (IPW).
With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, and organisations, her work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with understanding. She is passionate about helping people move beyond survival patterns, strengthen relationships, navigate life's challenges, and reconnect with themselves and those they love.
Dr Jody specialises in trauma, emotional regulation, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and personal growth. Her approach integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, somatic awareness, and practical therapeutic tools to create meaningful and lasting change.
She is the creator of the EMBER-T© framework, a trauma-informed model that explores how people adapt, endure, and heal in the face of adversity. Rather than viewing trauma responses solely as pathology, EMBER-T© recognises many behaviours, emotional states, and coping strategies as adaptive responses developed in the service of survival.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Jody is an author, speaker, trainer, and advocate for trauma awareness. She is committed to making psychological knowledge accessible, compassionate, and practical for everyday life.
Her work is guided by a simple belief:
People do not heal because they are told what is wrong with them. They heal when they are understood.
